Why Detail is so Important for your Wedding Day!
Detail is so important on your wedding day!! It’s the “little things” that matter, right? I am talking all things details. Florals, shoes, jewelry, special notes, announcement, your something blue, heirlooms, pictures, etc! There is SO much that connect with your details.
Check out these gorgeous details I’ve captured from weddings and get inspired for yours!!! Share your favorites on Pinterest right from my website!
And this is why they are important:
1.) It just pulls the day together. When things match, the aesthetic flows. The photos look better when colors match, when details are thought of and taken into consideration in a big way.
2.) You remember the “little things.” These are the small details often forgotten. Your decor isn’t just for one day. It’s living on. PICTURES are the way your day lives on. The memories are remembered through images.
3.) You inspire! Wedding days are gorgeous, we are always meaning for them to photograph well, be fun for our guests and be gorgeous through our eyes. Inspire others! Get YOUR DECOR photographed, your little things, and inspire other engaged couples!!
Here are tons of ideas for YOUR WEDDING.

Why YOU need a Professional Wedding Photographer
1. They’ve done this so many times. Hire a professional because they’ve DONE it. They’ve photographed the crazy families, the still peaceful moments, the bad lighting, the good lighting, they know what they’re doing!!!!
2. Your photographer is spending more time with you than anybody else. And hello, You want to VIBE. You want to really have fun together, so they can bring out your best self. You want someone who not only knows what they’re doing, but makes you LOOK GOOD. You are being photographed with your partner 85% of the time usually, but what about when you’re getting ready, bridals, or moments by yourself? It’s you and your photographer. Pick one you really vibe with.
3. And of course, they know how to work in panic mode. Wedding photographers are a rare breed. I hear family, senior or newborn photographers talking about how photographing a wedding is the last thing they’d want to do because it is HARD. 10-12 hour days on your feet the whole time, wrangling families for pictures, getting great angles/lighting with make due locations they’ve never seen before, and not only capturing PHOTOS, but STORIES. They’re INSANELY TALENTED HUMANS. It really takes a lot to do wedding photography. I hope when YOU get married... you choose a professional wedding photographer that can take care of you. After all, it’s your favorite day ever. Wouldn’t you want the best?
Hawaii Couple Session

But my sweet parents got in front of my camera and we took some KILLER couple photos. LOOK how gorgeous they are!! I was texting my mama while I was editing cause I WAS BAWLING. Their love is so strong and I am so inspired by it. I love them. I love Hawaii. I love this beautiful light. I love the passion they have between them, 8 babies and 20+ years of marriage and they still got it. CHECK THESE OUT! Don’t forget to PIN your favorites to Pinterest.
5 Corona Date Ideas
I know, I know. Coronavirus blog posts are the new hit. LOL. Well, my boyfriend and I made a date list for things to do when he moved to Utah and was finally here with me. WELL NOW WE CAN’T DO ANY OF THEM, BECAUSE CORONAVIRUS. HAHA. Sooooo. I made up a new quarantined date idea list. And oh mah gosh, what a time to be alive where you can be quarantined inside with YOUR CHOSEN HUMAN while the world is “closed until further notice” like MAN! Here are some ideas though, if you are blank.
Massages. Foot, neck or body.
If one of your love languages is touch (like mine) a massage is such a good idea. Rub each other’s feet while you put some calming music on in the background. Do some self love and health stuff and end it with some much needed touchy love. Get some lotion or oil and make your s/o feel LOVED. Not everyone loves massages, so if so, just turn it into a cuddle puddle while soaking up some quiet time in each other’s arms. It’s perfect for the time right now.
Karaoke together.
We did karaoke in the car the other night, we turned song songs on YouTube. Just googled; best couple karaoke songs with lyrics” we laughed SO HARD. Laughing really is the best medicine, especially with the way the world is going crazzzzy right now. We just laughed and sang in each other’s faces. What a blast. We are realizing more and more, it’s not about the activities or the places we go, but what we create with just us together. Getting creative about relationships right now is the most unique. Especially when you have a voice like mine- it’s just embarrassing yourself. Hahah!
Board Games.
Super fun way to connect with each other while having fun and you can test it and see if it brings out a side you didn’t know. ;) Who is more competitive? Who uses tactics and strategies? A great way to hone in and find some of your partners strengths, and maybe apply them to real life. Monopoly, life, uno, cards, cashflow is a good one to see how they do with money. So many out there!
Educate and learn together.
Listen to a podcast, read a book, watch youtube videos about something you’re passionate about together! Take this time to dive into learning as a team. Whether it be for your own joy or for growing a business/job/career. Do it as a team! One of my favorite marriage podcasts to listen to prepare me for marriage is by Rachel Hollis and her husband; called Rise Together. https://www.risetogetherpodcast.com/episodes It is SO good. My boyfriend and I listen to this together and have really great open conversations with each episode. We also read books together and are creating little mini book clubs between just us. Never stop growing and learning together!
Make your relationship a convenience, as well as a priority. (Time for communication)
This thought hit me as I was writing this. Communication is the biggest thing in a relationship, in my opinion. It is the solid foundation for almost everything you do. It’s also something that can be really hard. So making conversations, little or big, a priority that happens OFTEN. Get stuff out in the open. Right now is best time, they can’t run away. HAHA. ;) Plus, talking to your partner is healthy, fun and let’s so much stuff off of your chest. Allow them to be your safe space. Allow them to hold space for you, and hold space for them.
Seriously, you guys. Take advantage of this time right now to level up your relationship and love on your partner a little bit more. Tell them how much they mean to you. ♥️
